Dr. PRP USA has unveiled a new series of comparison reports to help guide medical providers in choosing an effective PRP system – and helping patients ask the right questions about what type of PRP system is in use for their PRP treatments.
Here, we look at the kits from Dr. PRP USA and the ProGen PRP Eclipse Kit and compare the two.
Comparative parameters in this report include factors such as:
We also consider volume capacity in the PRP preparation process as well as other important information like years in operation and regulatory status of the company and its PRP kit.
It is imperative to recognize that platelet recovery and platelet viability are paramount factors to consider when determining the optimal PRP system. This is due to the fact that the efficacy of PRP procedures hinges on the precise and accurate administration of a therapeutic dose of platelets.

We have two kits available for purchase – a 30 cc kit and a 20 cc kit.
Our 30 cc PRP kit will be available later this year and requires a minimal blood draw of 27 cc, with a PRP yield of about 15 cc – allowing medical providers to harvest more PRP with one draw using a single kit.
Our 20 cc kit holds 20 cc of fluid—2 cc of anticoagulant with 18 cc of whole blood—and produces a fixed amount of 4 cc of highly concentrated PRP. It is, however, adjustable and can produce 2-6 cc.
Uses a 15 cc or 30 cc tube that can produce 7-15 cc of PRP.
Dr. PRP USA’s clear chambers ensure that you can see all of the blood sample components. The buffy coat layer can be easily seen in the neck of the device, meaning that you can precisely separate the components into the type of PRP you wish to produce. You can even eliminate Red Blood Cells from your PRP final product. It is capable of producing a leukocyte poor and RBC poor (totally yellow) product or a leukocyte and RBC rich product for different uses. It can also produce low or high concentrations of platelets for different applications.
Some swinging-out centrifuges are compatible with the Dr. PRP USA kit. We also offer adaptors for Harvest, EmCyte, and BioMet centrifuges.
ProGen PRP Eclipse is an easy-to-use, one spin system that features 15 mL and 30 mL tubes, yielding 7-15 cc of Platelet Rich Plasma.
